You know, I liked the prototype. I thought maybe it was too... blunt with the rain interaction. But I liked it. :)
Don't stand in the rain
A downloadable game for Windows
"Don't stand in the Rain" is a puzzle game, where you are controlling a lone robot in some weird facility. Each level contains more or less rain. As a machine, that is highly dangerous to touch so you must take extra care to circumvent it.
I mean, its really simple, its in the title.
Just don't touch the rain.
The first bigger project I tried my hands on. It started as a rain mechanic that looked kinda cool, but took a lot, and I mean a ton of ressources.
I even made a discord for it, found a couple pixel artist, but for technical reasons, the whole thing never really went off. The main mechanic always felt kind of lackluster and weird to play with. I tried to implement it in a couple of ways, but it never clicked.
So I moved on after 6 Prototypes.

Aw, thank you very much.
I also liked it alot at first, especially after someone made me that cute robot sprite!
Sadly it never took of ^^ But maybe in the future.
I was thinking (and this is just brainstorming, not telling anyone what to do) that the 'health' and exposure to rain could use a higher level of granularity. So, for example, there's 100 Health and then entering an area with would lower that by 0.1 per second, going higher as you continue to be in that rainy area. So the incentive is to not only avoid but also stay as little as possible, without being too punishing if you just get wet for a moment.
That being said, I just want to see what you come up with next. :)
